Most of perfluorinated polyimides have some shortcomings, such as relatively large optical birefringence and higher optical propagagtion loss. In this study, in order to overcome these problems, we have designed and synthesized novel perfluorinated diamines and dianhydrides with 3-D controlled structure. We also synthesized several fluorinated polyimides by two-step polyimidization of new obtain diamines and new dianhydrides in the NMP solvent. The chemical structures of all materials were identified by GC-MASS, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 19F-NMR spectroscopyes and IR-spectra of polyimides showed imide carbonyl peak at near 1780 and 1720 cm-1, C-N peak near 1380 cm-1 and C-F peak near 1000 cm-1. The perfluorinated polyimides were thermally stable to be decomposed at 350 ℃ under nitrogen. The refractive index and the birefringence of the resultant polyimides was in the range of 1.5844 to 1.61193 and 0.001 to 0.014. Also we measured refracting absorption in NIR region. The resulting copolymers showed a relatively low vibration absorption at 1.3 and 1.55μm. |
