Influence of Heat Stabilizer on There properties of PP/PLA Blending System |

Polypropylene(PP) 50wt%/Polylactic Acid(PLA) 50wt% blending system was prepared by using an extrusion molding technique at the extrusion temperature of 220 ℃. In order to improve the thermal property of the blending system a commercialized heat stabilizer was added into the compound in the range of 1 to 5phr. Heat deflection temperature(HDT) and glass transition temperature(Tg) as the representative thermal properties were measured as a function of the concentration of heat stabilizer. In addition, mechanical properties including tensile strength, flexural strength and their modulus were measured and discussed in term of the influence of heat stabilizer. The final compound studied in this work will be used as the recycle able basis material for automobile internal parts. |
