제목 Reversible Formation and Dissolution of Gold Nanoparticles Through Turning On and Off Sequences of UV Light
초록 Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have been widely investigated because of their unique properties such as catalytic, electronic, optoelectronic, electrochemical, and electromechanical properties. Recently, we found reversible formation-dissolution of AuNPs through turning on and off sequences of UV Light in the presence of amphiphilic comb-like polymers (poly[oxy[[decyltri(oxyethylene)]thiomethyl]ethylene], D3OTP). Mono-dispersed AuNPs were fabricated by UV irradiation from a mixture of D3OTP and a gold salt (LiAuCl4) in tetrahydrofuran. The prepared gold nanoparticles dissolved to yield gold ions (Au3+) when the UV light was switched off. Such formation and dissolution could be repeated persistently by turning the UV light on and off repeatedly.
