제목 Design of crack-free metal electrode on elastomer thin film via interface engineering for stretchable organic sensors
초록 Recently, crack-free conductors under harsh mechanical stress offer new opportunities for the human-adaptive, stretchable optoelectronics. The design of effective form factor as well as structure one for achieving stretchable conductors is an art of balance, as they affect mechanical reliability in the devices and hence electrical stability under the applied stress. In this presentation, we show mechanically robust and highly stretchable gold electrode onto elastomer thin film via specific interface engineering, which enables highly stable organic strain sensors with a top-gated geometry for the application to artificial skin. We found that optimized interfacial characteristics between gold electrode and elastomer thin film have a huge effect on crystal growth as well as adhesion strength of gold electrode, leading to mechanical stability of gold electrode up to strain (ε) of 100 %. We believe that this approach can be useful to highly sensitive and stretchable organic strain sensors.
