제목 Adsorption of Cadmium onto Poly (vinyl alcohol)/hydroxyapatite cryogels: kinetics and isotherm studies
초록 An innovative sorbent for removal of heavy metals has been investigated. Hydroxyapatite (HAp) not only can be used as biomaterials, but also has high adsorption capacity of heavy metals. Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) is known to be made as a cryogel by physical freeze-thawing processes due to its poor solubility in cold water. PVA/HAp cryogels were environment-friendly materials made by physical freeze-thawing processes. Cadmium(Cd) was employed to evaluate the adsorption capacity of PVA/HAp cryogels. The kinetics and isotherm of cadmium adsorption were analyzed. Moreover, the influences of pH, temperature, and sample size were studied.
