A Sudy on Mechanical Interfacial Properties of Oxyfluorinated Silicas/NBR Compoundings |

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) has been used widely as the meterials for rubber while it has been pointed out that NBR rubber has short life time due to its inferior properties of acid and abrasion resistance. Silicas are well known as the materials which has a good chemical resistance. In this study, we tried to improve the mechanical interfacial properties of NBR rubber by using NBR/Silicas blend system. The effects of oxyfluorination of nanoscaled silicas on mechanical interfacial properties of NBR matrix compoundings was inverstigated. The surface properties of the silicas were studied in XPS and contact angle measurements. |
