제목 | Fabrication of Nerve Guidance Channeled PLGA Scaffold by Ice Particle Leaching Method |
초록 | Fabrication of tubular and numerous channeled porous poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide) (75:25 by mole ratio of lactide to glycolide, PLGA) scaffold made by ice particle leaching method and investigated as potential nerve guidance channel in the central nerve system. The obtained nerve guidance channeled PLGA scaffolds were characterized by mercury porosimetry, scanning electron microscopy(SEM). PLGA scaffold manufactured by varying processing parameters such as control of volume fraction between PLGA and ice particle, and exhibited a porosity above 90% medium pore size ranging from 180 to 250 ㎛. Regulating the size and quantity of the wires allowed us to control the diameter and number of channels. It was observed that PLGA scaffolds have highly porous structure with good interconnection between pores for allowing cell adhesion and growth. It might be concluded that these novel scaffolds may be applicable for tubular organ structures to facilitate tissue regeneration in tissue engineering.
