제목 The temperature effect on the polymerization of dicyandiamide to carbon nitride in the presence of NiTiO3
초록 Herein, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) was used to create heterojunction with nickel titanium trioxide (NiTiO3) to improve a photocatalytic activity under visible-irradiation, which is a common method to modify catalyst’s properties. An interesting point is that NiTiO3 performed as a catalyst for the polymeric reactions to form carbon nitride in the synthetic process of composites, thus resulting in a shift of the polymerization to lower temperature. The composite materials (CNT) were once again prepared at different temperatures and characterized with diverse analytical methods. Finally, these composites were also applied to remove methylene blue under the visible-light irradiation. Based on the photocatalytic activity tests and characterizations, we found the optimal polymerization temperature to produce the CNT composites and enlarged the knowledge of the polymerization process to form carbon nitride in the presence of NiTiO3 as catalyst. Moreover, the role of NiTiO3 in the composite materials is a promoter to increase the photocatalytic activity by the interaction with carbon nitride as well as a catalyst in the polymerization to form carbon nitride.
