제목 Synthesis of PE-b-PBPEA via ATRP
초록 Polyethylene macroinitiator (PE-Br) was synthesized from the hydroxy-terminated polyethylene of various molecular weights. Polyethylene-block-poly(2-((2-bromopropionyl)oxy)ethyl acrylate) (PE-b-PBPEA) was prepared from PE-Br macroinitiator through atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of BPEA in chlorobenzene at 95 ℃. The polymerization was carried out under various conditions such as concentration of monomer, amount of catalyst and temperature. The characteristics of PE-b-PBPEA were analyzed by TGA, DSC, and GPC. The PE-b-PBPEA showed the stepwise thermal degradation and shifted melting temperature.
