To improve the ionic conductivity of solid polymer electrolytes, much effort isdirected towards the inorganic filler systems. In this study, a blend of poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(ethylenimine) (PEO-PEI) as host polymer, lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) as a salt, and (SiO2) as the inorganic filler compose the solid polymer electrolyte composites. The addition of inorganic fillers in polymer electrolytes results in high ionic conductivity at room temperature. The structures and morphology of the solid polymer electrolytes were evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The ionic conductivity was measured by the AC impedance method. |
