Synthesis and Characterization of a Amphiphilic Chemosensor |

A novel amphiphilic chemosensor (BHPB-PEG) containing a 5-amino-2-(5’-bromo-2’-hydroxylphenyl)benzoazole(BHPB) was synthesized. To enhance solubility in selective solvents, BHPB was connected with a hydrophilic PEG unit by Suzuki coupling reaction. 1H & 13C NMR, DSC, TGA, GPC and IR techniques was used to confirm the chemical structure of BHPB-PEG. Because of the PEG unit attached with BHPB, the absorption/emission spectra of BHPB-PEG were changed from BHPB. The self-assembling nanostructure of BHPB-PEG was characterized by using the AFM, TEM and X-ray instruments. |
