Characterization of Polyimide/Polyimide Molecular Composite Film containing Acetylene Group |

Polyimide/polyimide molecular composite can reinforce a ductile matrix polymer with high modulus, rigid-rod polymer molecules by structure control. In this study, we prepared two polyimides with different structure that are used polyimide molecular composite (MC). For the preparation of polyimide MC, we introduced a small amount of acetylene moiety that was arranged in main chain or in side chain. Two polyimides were mixed in various ratios at the stage of polyamic acid solution and imidized at 300℃. Crosslinking of acetylene moiety was completed at 400℃ and increased tensile modulus of polyimide film. We compared with various properties of polyimide MC film according to the change of the mixing ratio of two components. We observed variation of glass transition temperature (Tg) by DSC and viscoelastic analysis (DMA) as well as obtained information of mechanical properties. Tensile properties of polyimide films were determined by UTM and thermal properties were measured by DSC and TGA. |
