Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been of great interest due to the wealth of useful application such as in optoelectronics, in catalysis or in solar cells. In this work, nanoparticles were prepared by combining block copolymer self-assembly and sol-gel chemistry where polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene oxide) (PS-b-PEO) block copolymer was employed as a template and a titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) was used as titania source. The films containing nanoparticles were generated by spin-coating and drop-casting method, and removal of the polymer matrix was achieved via UV treatment and calcination treatment. The shape and size of the titania nanoparticles obtained so are found to strong depend on the solvents for block copolymer, the amount of sol-gel precursor, the concentration of hydrochloric acid, relative humidity on spin-coating, and so on. Here TiO2 nanoparticles with different size as but using the same template were successfully synthesized. |
