제목 Chemical and physical characterization of Ammonium Dinitramide(ADN)
초록 Ammonium dinitramide (ADN), NH4N(NO2)2, is one of the eco-friendly oxidizers for solid propellants with hi-energy. This paper prepares hi-purity ADN through a simple synthesis method, and its moisture absorbability was comparatively evaluated with a commercial product. The ADN is greatly apt to absorb atmospheric moisture, which may deteriorate its practical application. The hygroscopicity and chemical structure of synthesized samples were closely estimated in order to find any optimum stabilization condition. Hygroscopicity tests showed that the equilibrium moisture content of the current ADN samples reached more than 0.090g H2O/g ADN. Under the ambient condition of the lab (relative humidity: 40%) the synthesized sample contained 8 w/w% of moisture, and the analysis by DSC of ADN showed the melting peak at around 85oC.
