Synergistic effect of Antifungal peptide and Amphotericin B in antifungal nanoparticle |
초록 |
Fungal infections in almost body including the skin, nails, oral cavity, respiratory tract, and urinary tract, or systemic contamination are reported to occur in over a billion patients each year. Recently, the ongoing emergence of antibiotic-resistant fungal strains and the formation of fungal biofilm demand an amphotericin B delivery systems (DDS) and novel antifungal molecules. Herein, we conjugation of the antifungal peptide can contribute as not only a targeting ligand but also synergistic antifungal molecule in fungal therapy for Candida albicans. We propose that this is fungal DDS in an effective candidate in clinical application as fungal therapy system via pH-responsive drug delivery and redox-sensitive drug release.
