Organic semiconductors have been studied extensively with regards to their charge transport ability and have recently been demonstrated to be a viable option for large-area, commercial electronic devices and photonics. Thus far, various synthetic strategies for organic semiconductors have been reported that enhance their charge carrier transport characteristics. Among these suggested strategies, the molecular design with the extended delocalization of π electrons has been the most popular and widely accepted synthetic strategy that provides more efficient intermolecular overlaps of the π orbital and thus high charge carrier mobility.
