Nowadays, the research interest on the new membrane material for water treatment is growing since the development of conventional RO membrane has been stagnant. This study is to develop the high efficient carbon nanotube (CNT) embedded RO membrane technology by combing CNT technology with RO technology, which performance is intended to be drastically different with conventional RO technology. To manufacture the CNT embedded RO membrane, the various approaches of CNT mixing with basic polymer components of RO were pursued. This successful study will contribute to providing the competitive edge for the innovative technology of seawater desalination. |
