Interfacial energetics determines the performance of organic photovoltaic cells based on a thin film of organic semiconductor blends. The charge carrier recombination and internal field formation can be severely influenced by efficient charge carrier extraction at the desired electrode. Here, several approaches for tailoring charge collecting interfaces for highly efficient OPVs are discussed. |
