Preparation and characterization of the propolis based carboxy methyl cellulose hydrogel |
초록 |
The aim of this work is to investigate the physical properties and the antibacterial effect of the propolis based carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC) hydrogel in wound care. CMC powder (20wt%) and honey were dissolved in deionized water, and then irradiated by a gamma-ray to make the propolis based CMC hydrogel. The mechanical property of propolis based CMC hydrogel was investigated using a compressive strength.Also, the rate of evaporation of water from propolis based CMC hydrogel was measured at 37 ℃ and 35% relative humidity. Finally, the antibacterial activity was investigated in detail against the staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and escherichia coli (E.coli) strains. |
