제목 Preparation and characterization of the propolis based carboxy methyl cellulose hydrogel
초록 The aim of this work is to investigate the physical properties and the antibacterial effect of the propolis based carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC) hydrogel in wound care. CMC powder (20wt%) and honey were dissolved in deionized water, and then irradiated by a gamma-ray to make the propolis based CMC hydrogel. The mechanical property of propolis based CMC hydrogel was investigated using a compressive strength.Also, the rate of evaporation of water from propolis based CMC hydrogel was measured at 37 ℃ and 35% relative humidity. Finally, the antibacterial activity was investigated in detail against the staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and escherichia coli (E.coli) strains.
