Drying Characteristics of Cotton Using a ThermoGravimetric Analyzer |

Drying Characteristics of cotton using thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) were investigated. Drying tests were carried out in the gas temperature range of 40 ~ 80℃ with isothermal condition. Drying characteristics such as drying rate, equilibrium moisture content and critical moisture content were measured. The experimental results showed that the drying rate increased with increasing gas temperature. It was also found that the critical moisture content increased with increasing gas temperature, while the equilibrium moisture content decreased with increasing gas temperature. |
