제목 | Adsorption of phosphate on SBA-15 based modified mesoporous silica materials: Equilibrium and kinetics |
초록 | Three modified mesoporous silica materials were prepared from a pristine SBA-15 that was synthesized hydrothermally in a batch reactor in order to remove phosphate from aqueous solutions. They are named as (1) amine-grafted, (2) magnetized, and (3) amine-grafted and magnetized SBA-15, respectively. All modified silica media were characterized by BET, HR-TEM, and FT-IR in detail and adsorption isotherms of phosphate on them were determined from equilibrium experiments. All equilibrium data were fitted well with Sips and Toth equations. Then, kinetic experiments were also carried out in a well-stirred batch adsorption system to elucidate the dynamic behavior of adsorption processes. Based on the pore and surface diffusion models with a film mass transfer resistance, pore and surface diffusion coefficients were estimated. Finally It was proven that the concentration decay curves in the batch system were predicted well by the suggested models |
