제목 Efficiency Enhancement of Low-bandgap Polymer based Solar Cells using TiOx Optical Spacer
초록 Polymer bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells with donor-acceptor offer great potentials for low-cost, portable and flexible energy source in the near future. In this study, we have thoroughly characterized the low-bandgap polymers, SDT-BT, using the additive process to control the nanoscale morphology of donor-acceptor blend. Indeed, the low-bandgap polymer based solar cells with the additive process showed much higher short circuit currents than that of the conventional devices. Furthermore, because there was a uniform surface morphology of the SDT-BT based devices with the additive process, we have found that TiOx layer as an optical spacer can be applied to the devices between Aluminum and the photo active layer. As expected, the best performance, 4.8 %, exhibited in the SDT-BT based devices due to the additive process and TiOx optical spacer effect. In addition, the lifetime of the devices with TiOx layer was also dramatically extended.
