The Crystallization Behavior of Polyketone (PK)/Polyamide 6 (PA6) |

Polyketone(PK)/Polyamide 6(PA) blends were prepared by solution blending process using hexafluoro-isopropanol (HFIP). The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of PK/PA blends were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and polarized optical microscope in the temperature range of 50 ~ 240 ℃. The incorporation of PA improved crystallization rate of PK/PA blends until 3 wt% of PA's concentration. Above this concentration, crystallization rate of PK/PA blends reduced by specific interaction between them. These were confirmed by using FT-IR spectroscopy. |
