TiO2 nanotube arrays have demonstrated their utility in a variety of applications including room-temperature hydrogen gas sensing, generation of hydrogen by water photoelectrolysis, use in photocatalysts, and use in dye-sensitized solar cells. In this study, we prepared vertically well aligned TiO2 nanotube arrays as a photoelectrode to achieve comprehensive characterization of DSCs based on TiO2 nanotube arrays. The crystal structure, pore diameter, wall thickness, intertube spacing, and porosity of TiO2 nanotube arrays after annealing were characterized using FESEM, TEM, and XRD measurements. |
