Improvement of compatibilization in PC/PMMA blend using organoclay |

The effect of organoclay on miscibility of polycarbonate (PC) / polymethylemthacrylate (PMMA) blends is studied. An various kinds of organically modified montmorillonite(OMMT) were used to compatibilizer in immiscible blends. Moreover, high intensity ultrasound was used to disperse OMMT in blends. We measured glass transition temperature for PC/PMMA blend with OMMT by differential scanning calorimeter. The morphology of OMMT modified PC/PMMA was studied using scanning electron microscopy. Rotational rheometer was used to measure the dynamic viscosity and modulus of each blends. |
