제목 Morphological Effect of HA on the Cell Compatibility of Electrospun HA/PLGA Nanofiber Composites
초록 Composite nanofiber webs of hydroxyapatite (HA) (i.e. nanorods (nHA) and spherical (sHA)) with poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) were fabricated by electrospinning technique. The nHA was synthesized by precipitation method whereas sHA was purchased.The nHA and sHA were then suspended in PLGA polymer solution separately and electrospun at optimized electrospinning parameters. The potential of HA/PLGA composite nanofiber webs as bone scaffolds in terms of adhesion, proliferation and differentiation was assessed by culturing osteoblastic cells onto the composite nanofiber webs. The nHA/PLGA composite nanofiber scaffold showed a higher cell adhesion, proliferation and enhanced osteogenesis performance and calcium production as compared to sHA/PLGA nanofiber composite and pristine PLGA nanofiber scaffolds. It was therefore concluded from the study that the structural dependent property of HA might effect its potential for use as bone scaffolds.
