제목 Effect of Extracellular Matrix on PLGA Film to Rabbit Corneal Endothelial Cells
초록 Corneal endothelium is mono-inner cell layer of cornea and lay on Descmet’s membrane (DM). DM is comprised of various proteins called extracellular matrix including fibronectin, collagen, laminin and proteoglycan. The extracellular matrix can directly affect the cellular behaviors such as cell adhesion, proliferation, polarity, morphogenesis and functional expression. In this study, we investigated the rabbit corneal endothelial cells with poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) film surfaces coated with various cell-adhesive molecules like fibronectin, laminin, collagen type IV, collagen type I and FNC coating mix. We studied morphologic images, cell proliferation assay, adhesion assay, immunofluorscence and RT-PCR. The results of this study showed that the behaviors of rabbit corneal endothelial cells were affected by cell-adhesive molecules. This research was supported by WCU (R31-20029) and SCRC (SC4110).
