Immensely increasing demands for next portable and flexible electronics, including wearable and stretchable devices, have stimulated intensive efforts to produce flexible, lightweight, and robust energy storage devices while sustaining high power and energy densities. Fiber-type supercapacitor is a widely used strategy to realize the future energy storage devices because they can possess flexibility, light weight, and ease of handling and metamorphosis. Here, we show a method for producing carbon nanotube yarn based on direct spinning, which possessed strong, highly electron-conductive, and flexible characteristics. Further we address an approach to making an unique hybrid composite with metal-organic framework for next-generation energy storage device. |
