Optimization of the co-rotating twin screw extruder for highly filled polymeric suspension |
초록 |
The compounding technique to incorporate high levels of fillers into polymeric melt is becoming more important in many industrial fields. Co-rotating twin screw extrusion is one of the efficient compounding processes. The first step for the successful operation of the twin screw extrusion is to optimize the feed intake process. In this study two direct feeding through main hopper and side feeding were compared. The material intake behavior of the twin screw co-rotating extruder using thermoplastic elastomer and Dechlorane filler were studied to optimize the output of the process. |
