제목 Alignments of Ferrous Particles in A Mixed Surfactant Mesophase during Microstructural Transitions in Magnetic Fields
초록 A surfactant-based rigid gel mesophase was prepared by the addition of water to a solution of bis(2-ethylhexyl) sodium sulfosuccinate(AOT) and phoshatidycholine(lecithin) in 2,2,4-trimethyl pentane(isooctane). Ferrous particles were added to the surfactant system to examine the alignments of organic and aqueous channels in magnetic fields. The movements of ferrous particles in magnetic fields were affected by the viscosities of rigid gels. Alignments of ferrous particles in channels were obtained during the microstructural transitions from lamellar to columnar hexagonal structure induced by temperature change at fixed water content. The alignment was studied by optical microscopy measurements.
