제목 Preparation and Characterization of Poly(ethyleneglycol)-Poly(s-dodecyl cysteine) Block Copolymer Micelles as Carriers for Water-Insoluble Drugs
초록 The diblock copolymers composed of poly(ethylene glycol) as hydrophilic block and poly(s-dodecyl cysteine) as hydrophobic block are synthesized by ring opening polymerization of s-dodecyl cysteine N-carboxyanhydride using monomethoxy-poly(ethylene glycol)amine as macroinitiator, which were characterized by 1H NMR, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The critical micelle concentrations (CMC) of copolymers were measured, which were of the order of 10-6 M. In addition, indomethacin loaded polymeric micelles were prepared with various ratios of polymer to drug using the oil-in-water emulsion technique. The volume weight diameters, drug loading content, and entrapment efficiency of the polymeric micelles were analyzed. The volume weight diameters of polymeric micelles ranged from 40 nm to 130 nm and were distributed for drug delivery system.
