Due to the extended p-electron system, anthracene derivatives are being applied in a variety of applications including thin-film transistors, solar cells and light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Anthracene is particularly useful in the manufacture of blue emitters because of its simple modification of molecular structure, blue emission and high light stability. Anthracene compounds having such advantages are synthesized and applied to various fields. We have synthesized and studied anthracene cores for the development of electron transport materials with good electron injection / transport properties for blue fluorescent OLEDs. |
