Graphene, a two dimensional carbon nanomaterial, has emerged as a promising nanofiller due to its exceptional electron transport, mechanical properties, and high surface area. When incorporated into a matrix polymer appropriately, it can significantly improve physical properties of the host polymer at small loading. In this study, nylon 12-b-PEG multiblock copolymer/graphene nanocomposites were synthesized by melt-polycondensation of α,ω-dicarboxyl polyamide 12 oligomer with PEG in the presence of modified graphene. Their morphology, thermal, mechanical and electrical properties were investigated by TEM, DSC, DMA, tensile test, and 4-probe method, respectively. |
