Development of Fluorescent Temperature Sensors Using Polyacrylonitrile Particles for Temperature Monitoring in Biological Processes |

In this work, polyacrylonitrile(PAN) nanoparticles doped with various temperature-sensitive fluorescent dyes were prepared and immobilized into polyurethane(D4) and ethylcellulose (EC) as supporting materials in the form of films. The fluorescence intensity of the temperature-sensing films decreased with increasing temperature in the range of 5 ℃ and 60℃. The morphology of different fluorescent PAN particles was confirmed using SEM and Confocal microscopy. The maximum fluorescence intensities of various fluorescent nanoparticles were identified with a fluorescent spectrometer.The reversibility and response times of the films were investigated by alternating the temperature in aqueous solution and gas environments. The effects of oxygen and pH on each fluorescent film in aqueous solution were also studied with different temperatures. Good long-term stability of the films in solution demonstrated good potential to applications of temperature monitoring in biological processes. |
