Dendrimer-Mediated CdS Quantum Dots: Preparation and Their Photoelectrochemical Properties. |

In this study, CdS nanocrystals as the quantum dot were prepared and stabilized through the amide-based dendrimers having from 1st to 5th generations. The resulting nanohybrid have been characterized by UV/vis, PL (photoluminescence spectroscopy), and photocurrent spectroscopy. The size of nanocrystal showing photoluminescence property and absorption of visible light from 454-400 nm increased slightly as increasing the generation of dendrimers. These results indicated that it is possible to obtain j-E plots from PEC (photoelectrochemical cell) performance as sensitized solar cell. It will be presented the performance parameters as like open circuit potential, short circuit photocurrent, fill factor, and global conversion efficiency. |
