제목 Polymer nanofibers for passive radiative cooling
초록 The rapid increase inannual cooling energy demand has a significant adverse impact on globalwarming. Recently, research on passive radiative cooling using variousmaterials to reduce energy use for cooling has been reported. Most of theprevious studies focused on solar reflection and mid-IR emission based onphotonic crystal materials.In this study, wave-selective emitter films in theatmospheric window range were fabricated using glass bubbles (GBu) and BaSO4 inpolydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Then, polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers wereelectrospun on the prepared films. The optical properties and cooling poweraccording to the ratio of GBu and BaSO4 contained in the film and PANelectrospinning conditions were analyzed. Compared with the PDMS/GBu and BaSO4films, it was confirmed that the film with the added electrospinning layerexhibited higher reflectivity and cooling power. This study is expected toimprove the performance of previously studied passive radiative cooling.
