제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Planar Copolymer for Photovoltaic Solar Cells
초록 Planar D-A type conjugated polymer PTBT, which consist of alternating thiophene and octyloxy chain attached to benzothiadiazole, were synthesized by stille polycondensation. By removing the alkyl chain from donor moiety, HOMO levels are deeper while maintaining good solubility due to the two octyloxy groups on the acceptor. Moreover, steric hindrance is also getting smaller because hydrogen atoms are not attached to oxygen of alkoxy group. As a result, planar structure can be formed which ensures the enhanced crystallinity and high hole mobility. The number-average molecular weight (Mn) was 30,000 g/mol by using gel permeation chromatography and optical bandgap was 1.74 eV. The device performance based on the copolymer will be discussed in detail.
