제목 Catalytic oxidation of methacrolein to methacrylic acid over SiO2-supported  11-molybdo-1-vanadophosphirc acid H4PMo11VO40
초록 H4PMo11VO40 is a main component of the commercial catalyst for gas-phase oxidation of methacrolein to methacrylic acid, but low selectivity to methacrylic acid is one of the issues to be overcome.  We found that H4PMo11VO40/SiO2 showed high activity for oxidation of methacrolein to methacrylic acid comparing with unsupported H4PMo11VO40 due to high dispersion of H4PMo11VO40 on SiO2.  While selectivity to methacrylic acid was decreased by supporting H4PMo11VO40 on SiO2, application of NH3-modified SiO2 as a support suppressed the deterioration of the selectivity.  The activity of H4PMo11VO40/NH3-SiO2 was more than five times higher than that of the corresponding unsupported catalysts, keeping the high selectivity to methacrylic acid.
