The surface of single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) surface was modified with 2-chloro-3',4'-dihydroxyacetophenone (CCDP) quaternized poly(ethylene glycol)-g-[poly (dimethyl amino methacrylate)] [(CCDP)-q-(PDMA)]. Afterward, TiO2 nanoparticles were deposited onto (CCDP)-q-(PDMA) coated SWNT using remain catechol. The prepared SWNT/(CCDP)-q-(PEG-g-PDMA)/TiO2 nanoparticles showed long term (~2 weeks) colloidal stability under various solvents and was investigated the characteristics of recyclable photo catalysis effect. The surface modification of SWCNT with TiO2 nanoparticles and (CCDP)-q-(PEG-g-PDMA) was identified through Raman spectra, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). |
