Synthesis and characterization of functionalized nanocomposite particles for electronic paper display |
초록 |
Electronic papers have been attracted due to the various advantages such as lightweight, a large view angle, flexibility, and low power consumption. Soap-free emulsion copolymerization of styrene with functional water-soluble comonomers was carried out to produce functionalized polymeric particles. The particles with various surface charge density were prepared by controlling the content of functionalized comonomers. Core-shell nanocomposite particles based on functionalized polymeric particles with various charge density were prepared by using nanosized silica. These nanocomposite particles were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, q/m meter and particle size analyzer. Electro-optical properties of charged particles in the electronic paper were investigated by optical measurement system. |
