To fabricate organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) via solution process, each material used in each layer is required to have solvent orthogonality. Solvent orthogonality is generally given by containing moieties such as styrene group and sulfonate group. In case, Neopentyl group on sulfonate can be changed to hydroxyl group by heating and sulfonate group becomes sulfonic acid. Thus, materials containing sulfonate group could have solvent orthogonality and be doped by itself. Chains or phenyl group with fluorines improve charge mobility has been reported because of electron withdrawing properties. Herein, we designed and synthesized self-doped hole transporting materials (HTMs) and hole injection materials (HIMs) with sulfonate group. Properties of each material were measured by UV-Visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis), fluorescence spectroscopy (PL), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). |
