Self-Assembly and Superstructure of Organically-Capped Silver Nanoparticles |

A series of alkylated silver were synthesized by the reaction between silver perchlorate and a series of alkylated amines in organic solvents at room temperature by adopting a precise 1:1 stoichiometry. They were monodisperse and self-assembled to show various crystalline nanostructures in ambient conditions. The size of these silver nanostructures was controlled by changing solvent and by using various alkylated amines. The surface plasmon resonance effect of the silver nanostructures with various sizes was investigated by a spectrophotometer technique. The morphology of the irradiated samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction techques. |
