Photopolymerization is the processing of making big-sized molecules out of small ones. Moreover, photopolymerization is one of the important polymerization methods, because it cans get higher molecular weight of polymer than thermal polymerization. However, it is very difficult problem that finding the mechanism of photopolymerization using a photoinitiator or many kinds of addictives, to solve the industrial photo-curing system problem. Also, to analyze the kinetics and find the mechanism of polymerization, we must get the in-situ IR spectrum during the UV irradiation to sample directly. In this presentation, we modify the attenuated total reflection infrared (ATR-IR) spectroscopy accessory for in-situ experiment of UV irradiation to sample and confirmed the mechanism and kinetics of photopolymerization through our modified in-situ photo-IR spectra. |
