Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles were prepared by modified sol-gel method using titanium (IV) isopropoxide (TTIP) and nonionic surfactants with acetic acid at 100 °C. As nonionic surfactants, Span 80, Tween 20, polyethylene glycol (PEG), and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) were used to investigate their effects on the properties of TiO2 nanoparticles such as morphology, size, crystalline phase, and surface characteristics. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by FE-SEM, TEM, XRD, and BET. |
