제목 Pixel-free capacitive touch sensor using a single-layer ion gel
초록 Capacitive sensors have been studied variety purposes such as touch, pressure, and physical motions detection. In particular, sensors for positioning touch point require complicated structures due to numerous electrode patterns. Here, we demonstrated simple capacitive sensors with a single ion gel layer and copper electrodes without electrode arrays. The working principal of our capacitive tactile sensors was investigated with a calculation of electric field in the gel layer and variations of electric double layer (EDL) capacitance. The performance of touch sensor was studied related to ion concentration, voltage frequency, layer thickness, velocity of touch movement and static pressure. Our capacitive tactile sensor based on a ion gel can give an opportunity of developing future electronic device such as wearable electronics, soft robotics, electronic skins, and human-machine interaction system.
