제목 Properties of hydrophobic surface with fluorinated silica nanocomposites
초록 In the past decade, hydrophobic or water-repellent solid surfaces have become an attractive topic in material sciences because of their scientific significance and various applications including self-cleaning, anti-ice, anti-fog, the creation of self-cleaning clothings, metal refining, adhesion prevention, and drag reduction in fluid flow.  
In this paper, we study the preparation of nano-paticale structured Silica and various silanes as raw materialslow-surface-energy. Various ratios of different size silica NPs were chosen to fabricate dual scale nanostructure and to study the effect of the surface roughness, affecting hydrophobicity and optical transparency. Silica composites with hydrophobic properties were prepared. By spin coating the dispersion with Fluorinated Silica Nano-composites and general binder onto the substrate, a hydrophobic surface is obtained.
