Morphology and cure kinetics of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) reinforced ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) |
초록 |
Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) is attracting significant interest as a new class of nanomaterial that can be combined with polymers by covalent bonding or by simple physical blending to improve their performance properties. In this study, we investigated the morphology and cure kinetics of POSS-reinforced ethylene–propylene–diene monomer (EPDM) by using TEM and oscillating disk rheometer, respectively. It was found that the POSS are dispersed at nanometer scale in matrix rubber and increase the crosslinking efficiency of the peroxide crosslinking of the EPDM. |
