Effect of supplied water on morphology of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes |

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were grown vertically on silicon wafer. Silicon wafer substrates coated with the polymer (Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Ether) and aluminum (Al) / iron (Fe) deposited using electron beam evaporation. Aligned CNTs were grown on silicon wafer by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. CNTs were synthesized by using ethylene gas and water supplied by using the bubbler. The flow rate of supplied water is changed the morphology of CNTs from 0 sccm to 10 sccm. The morphology of CNTs was observed with the field emission scanning electron microscope. Raman spectroscopy is used to the characterization of CTNs. Raman features of CNTs present the radial breathing mode, tangential mode (G-band) and disorder induced mode (D-band). |
