제목 Spirobifluorene based hole blockingmaterials with efficient carrier and exciton confinement in blue fluorescence devices​
초록 2-(9,9'-spirobi[fluoren]-5-yl)-4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazine (SBF-TRZ) and 2-(9,9'-spirobi[fluoren]-5-yl)-4-phenylbenzo[4,5]thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine (SBF-BTPym) are designed to function as hole blocking materials (HBM) in OLED device by adding moiety which has electron withdrawing ability based on the spirobifluorene (SBF) skeleton structure. The HBM using SBF structure can realize high triplet energy and high thermal stability and thus can be advantageously used in blue fluorescence OLED devices. Also, diphenyltriazine and benzothienopyrimidine, which have electron withdrawing ability, strengthen electron deficiency to deepen the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and thereby enhance electron transport property. In the blue fluorescence OLED device using these two HBL materials, the maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) was 7.8% in SBF-TRZ and 7.2% in SBF-BTPym, respectively, which was higher than that of the device not using HBL.​
