제목 Effects of Catalysts and Carbonific on the Intumescent Efficiency in Eco-friendly Flame-retardant Coatings
초록 Flame-retardant coatings which are applied with intumescent mechanism on steel structure have been widely used recently, and extensive research on eco-friendly new material has been vigorously carried out in order to find coating systems that comply with environmental regulations in the paint and coating industry. To study the effects of ammonium polyphosphate as a cataylst and dipentaerthritol as a carbonific agent on intumescent efficiency, the thermal characteristcs and rheological properties are investigated by using DSC/TGA and rheometer. We found that the mixing ratio of ammonium polyphosphate and dipentaerthritol has a major influence upon the intumescnet efficiency in eco-friendly flame-retardant coatings.
